My roots
So I think it's time to introduce myself!I'm Valentina, I'm 15 years old(almost 16) and right now I'm studying as an exchange student in Finland from Spain.
I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. There I lived in a small house until my little sister was born, and then we moved to a big house. I lived in Uruguay for five years and I don't remember a lot of things but I remember, for example, my great-grandmother's house. She had a farm, where she had roosters, pigs... and I remember I used to help her with all the animals.
I've never come back to Uruguay but I would love to because I want to see my family again.
Otherwise, between 2000 and 2001, my family and I moved to Spain because my parents thought that my sister and I will probably have a better future there. First, we moved to Tarragona with my grandmother, where we lived almost 2 years. Then we moved to León, where I actually live.
A part of my family comes from Spain, because my father's great-great-grandparents are from Vigo, so I have roots from Spain too.
I think that I haven't been very affected by my roots and I don't think I'm very different than spanish people but I'm not different than uruguay people too, so I have like "mixed" roots.
For ending, I think my life would be very different if I would stay in Uruguay, because there is not a lot of chances for a great future. I'm very happy to live in Spain now, but sometimes I would love to come back to Uruguay.

My English Expierence
I started to learn English when I was six years old. I started in my school where I had a really great teacher that was always trying to make us have fun while we were learning. So, in this way I didn’t find it very hard and my teacher helped me with every doubt, and I always got high marks.
Then I went to high school when I started to feel more interest in English because I thought that it was a good way to make a better future and I liked all the culture that has to be with England or United States, so I decided to learn more English. In this process, I started to listen to music, watch movies and TV programs in English, at first with subtitles but a few months later without them and it wasn’t that bad. I decided to learn English out of high school because the way to teach English is not good at all. Teachers do exactly the same things every year but they add a little more, so I preferred to study on my own.
Another part of my English is that I have family living in United States, in North Carolina, New Jersey and New York and sometimes I talk with them in English to practice.
I would like to improve because I want to study in United States so I want to have great English to be able to understand everything well. I would like to study to be a Lawyer and I think that there’s a very good education in the Universities of United States, and my family can help me finding a good University.
